Welcome to Pine Tree Systems, the home of starCOM servers for the JDS Technologies family of home automation products.

StarCOM offers powerful task-oriented Windows controls and built-in web servers so you can control your StarGate or TimeCommander from anywhere within your network without programming. The free clients offer a wide array of capabilities as seen in WinEVM, but much, much more.

Programmers and home automation professionals will appreciate the additional flexibility of StarCOM's distributed component object model (DCOM). With StarCOM's object interface and XML features, you can leverage high-level languages such as Visual Basic, C#, Delphi or hosted VBScript/JScript scripts along with the JDS controllers to create unprecedented distributed home automation solutions in the most powerful and flexible development environment available.

starCOM provides a rich set of services that enable multiple applications anywhere in your network to:

	Control Devices: Setting device states, levels, values, etc.
	Device Events: Notification of any device or controller change
	Extend the processing capabilities of the controller through integration with other Windows applications and other HW automation systems.

The starCOM servers are shareware. Upon installation, they are fully functional for 45 days. Upon registration, a key will be sent for permanent operations. All clients, scripts and Plugins are available at no charge.
