12/ 2007 -- OK, at last a remote that is easy to program AND easy to use. The new Harmony One fixes the problems that the previous harmony 880 had. The biggest problem was the buttons were too dame small. On the 880 it was very hard to find and press the correct button. Do not get me wrong the 880 is a beautiful looking remote but where are the buttons???
The Harmony one has nice big raised buttons, like a remote should have. The buttons have different shapes so you can get tactile feed back by just toughing the buttons. On the previous 880, us over 50’s crowd need our reading glasses to decipher which but was which.
The LCD screen on the Harmony One has also been upgraded to a touch screen. That again makes buttons easier to find a press.
And do not forget that the Harmony One stores all you programming information macros etc….on your PC. Plus you get all the up to date IR code libraries from Harmony’s web site. So setting up the remote is easer then the hunt and try.
