Desc: The crew takes five after dropping two thirds of the floor area in the theater. This was a hair rising job. The floor was temporally supported with four hydraulic floor jacks. Then it was cut free. The process of lowering was a very slow procedure. Each side was dropped an inch at a time to avoid any binding. The risk was splitting a floor joist that would ruin the floor and causing a squeak.
Once the floor was dropped all the supports needed to be nailed too the floor and the outside walls. Then all the blocking needed to be done around and under the floor. The south and west wall will need some additional finish word where the floor was cut.
